In order to be C1D1 compliant, the forklift engine, battery, and wiring that connects these components to the ignition system must be sealed. The tires and operator seat must also be made completely static-proof. In addition, diesel-run trucks require a cooling system to reduce the temperature of exhaust gases, which are extremely hot.
